London Business School Logo

Old Mutual supports exciting emerging talent in the world of business through scholarship sponsorship for the London Business School. Old Mutual's involvement includes providing bursaries for MBA and MiF (Masters in Finance) students. To qualify for a scholarship, applicants need to be accepted by the London Business School and then candidates are judged on an essay submission. Entries for 2010 will open in January 2010.

This year candidates were asked to write a memo to the new President of the United States outlining steps he may wish to take to revive the world economy. The memo could cover either broad macro-economic themes or specific issues (e.g. an industry or a country) with which the candidates might be more familiar.

We believe that this sponsorship stimulates business growth through growing talented future business leaders.

This years winners (2009) of the Old Mutual London Business School scholarship are:

Blake Johnson (Masters in Finance candidate) from the United States. Read Blake's memo.
Xiaochen Li (Masters in Finance candidate) from China. Read Xiaochen's memo.
Simon Mikolayczyk (MBA candidate) from the United States. Read Simon's memo.
