The Old Mutual Group is involved in a number of exciting sponsorships, which are chosen to appeal to the customers in the markets in which we operate. Some of the key sponsorships from around the world are:

Sporting

Skandia Marathon Langteam

The Skandia Marathon is a cycling event organised by Langteam and sponsored by Skandia in which over 1000 competitors took part last year. Following this resounding success there will be seven races in 2011.

Routes are chosen to ensure participation is possible from all ages, with last year's event seeing riders between the ages of 4 and 80 years old. Competitive groups are divided by age and gender to guarantee a fair competition.

Education

Personal Economics Programme

Old Mutual is supporting financial capabilities and literacy among young people through its work with a London based charity Young Enterprise London. The programme enables volunteers from Old Mutual to deliver a full day programme of classes to secondary school students that will have a lasting effect of their financial capability. The training provides understanding of personal finance, credit & debit, savings and investments and budgets.

Professional Bodies

Businesswomen's Association

The Businesswomen's Association is the leading body representing women in business. Issues of gender equality and transformation feature very high on the South African Governments agenda as indeed they do at Nedbank.
