In June 2003, I joined Mutual & Federal as an executive secretary, a position I found challenging and most rewarding.  I am currently personal assistant to Keith Kennedy, managing director.  This position entails general PA functions, interaction with clients and management internally and within the group.  Every day seems to be varied in its challenges which is exciting and keeps me on my toes.    

A highlight of my career at Mutual & Federal was when Bruce Campbell, the previous MD, offered me the position of PA to the managing director.  I was delighted at the opportunity and honoured by the trust he had in my abilities to fulfil such a demanding position. 

Mutual & Federal is a wonderful company to work at, the people are friendly and one's efforts are acknowledged and rewarded. 

I work in the Executive Department on the 19th floor at Head Office in Johannesburg, South Africa.  The department consists of 14 executives, each responsible for different divisions within the company.  It is a vibrant and busy department where there is always something on the go with deadlines to be met. 

The 2010 Soccer World Cup is a great opportunity for our relatively new democracy which I am sure will bring in many tourists thereby improving the economy of this beautiful country.

In my spare time I love reading fiction and non-fiction books and I enjoy tennis, badminton and netball.

I am married and have two children, a girl (13) and a boy (12).  I am originally from KwaZulu Natal where most of my family still resides and whom I visit over holidays.  I still love the KwaZulu Natal area and hope that one day I will be able to return to my roots and the many family members that I miss dearly.  I am one of four children and have two sisters and a brother.  I love family get-togethers which keep me grounded.
