Developing leaders

We provide inspirational development programmes for our leaders of today and tomorrow, offering invaluable experiences and exciting new challenges.

The Executive Development Programme: The ongoing professional and personal development of our senior leaders is fundamental to delivering on our strategy, vision and values.   This programme has a very personalised approach which allows leaders to select from a number of the top business school offerings and bespoke courses.

The Strategic Leadership Programme focuses on strategic thinking and implementation, supporting our aim to make sure all our leaders work effectively as a team across Old Mutual. It helps leaders develop a participative leadership style, integrating best management practice. Amelia Beattie from OMIGPI says, "If Old Mutual can work together in the way we have on the Strategic Leadership Programme, the business will fly in the next few years." Charsten Christensen, Head of Denmark , also appreciates what he has learned: "I have used many of the tools, specifically in strategy management planning and business planning. In addition, I have found the personal awareness of my leadership abilities excellent; it helped me identify things to concentrate on."
