The Old Mutual Share Sale Service offers an easy-to-use telephone sale service.
The share sale service is available only to shareholders who hold their shares on the South African branch register through the Old Mutual Share Account. Therefore, if you hold your shares in some other way you will not be able to use the share sale service, but need to contact a stock broker or an approved investment manager.
Sales will be made subject to the terms and conditions of the Old Mutual Share Sale Service. Please contact the Share Sale Service for further information.
Once you have given an instruction to the share sale service you cannot change or withdraw it.
Please note that the price of Old Mutual plc shares may change from the time you submit your instruction until the time of the sale of your shares.

To use the telephone sale service you will need to call the Shareholder Services Centre, on business days between the hours of 8.00 and 16.30 (South African time GMT +2).

You may sell all or part of your shares through the telephone sale service. You may sell part of your shares as long as you:
Payment will normally be made seven business days after your instruction is received.
You will be sent a Sales Advice Notice giving you details of the sale transaction.
If you request payment by cheque it may take two to three weeks from the time that the Share Sales Service receives your instruction and you receiving your cheque for the proceeds of the sale and is subject to a fee being levied. Please consult with the Share Sales Service regarding applicable fees.
Dealing through the Old Mutual Share Sale Service will be provided on an "execution only basis". This means that the decision to sell your Old Mutual plc shares will be entirely your own. Neither the Old Mutual Share Sale Service nor its agents will provide shareholders with any investment, financial, tax or other advice. If you are in any doubt as to what you should do, you should obtain independent professional advice.
Sales will be executed through a member firm of the Johannesburg Stock Exchange or the Namibian Stock Exchange. The service will instruct the member firm to obtain the best price reasonably available on the stock market at the time of dealing, the following business day after the instruction is received. If no such price can be ascertained, the member firm will take reasonable care to carry out the sale at a price which is fair and reasonable.
