Can I receive my Annual General Meeting documents electronically?
If you would like to receive future communications from the Company by e-mail, please go to the "Shareholder information section - Electronic Communications" and then follow the instructions for registration of your details. In order to register, you will need your shareholder reference number, which can be found on the payment advice notice or tax voucher accompanying your last dividend payment or notification. The number is also on forms of proxy (but not voting instruction forms) for Annual General Meetings and Extraordinary General Meetings.
Before you register, you will be asked to agree the Terms and Conditions for Electronic Communication with Shareholders. It is important that you read these Terms and Conditions carefully, as they set out the basis on which electronic communications will be sent to you.
You should bear in mind that, in accessing documents electronically, you will incur the cost of online time. Any election to receive documents electronically will generally remain in force unless and until you contact the Company's Registrars to terminate or change such election.
The use of the electronic communications facility described above is entirely voluntary. If you wish to continue to receive communications from the Company by post, then you do not need to take any action.
Electronic proxy appointment is generally available for General Meetings of the Company. This enables proxy votes to be submitted electronically, as an alternative to filling out and posting a form of proxy. Further details are set out on the forms of proxy. Electronic submission is not, however, available for voting instruction forms.
If I am unable to attend a shareholders meeting, can I appoint a proxy?
If you are a registered shareholder, yes.
If your shares are held through a nominee, you may be able to give voting instructions to that nominee or ask that nominee to appoint you as its representative in relation to the shares it holds on your behalf.
